Aid Organisation Commercial Task

Your task is to produce a 45 - 60 second television commercial for the Aid Organisation you have researched (Red cross, Oxfam, World Vision etc). Make sure you consider the following when planning and producing your commercial:

  • Target audience - who is the commercial aimed at?
  • Purpose - what are you trying to get them to do after they view it?
  • Emotional appeal - how will you evoke emotion in your viewer?
  • Use of slogans/logos/other text - how will you use these to make an impact on the viewer?
  • Filming & editing techniques - consider how lighting, colour, music and voiceover techniques can contribute to the mood of the commercial.

Melbourne Excursion Reflections

Our Melbourne camp was absolutely amazing and unforgettable. We did so many things such as MCG, Melbourne Zoo and Melbourne Museum, just to name a few, but we saw so much more but I'm sure everyone loved Sovereign Hill. Lots of us found gold, bought lollies and other things. We were even lucky enough to go out on Wednesday night to get some ice cream. We also went to the old Melbourne Gaol and Fitzroy Gardens. We even got to go on a tram, it was packed on there but we got off and had some lunch. This camp really was an unforgettable, enjoyable, exciting, fun, camp this camp was the best so far! Shayna

The main highlight of the Melbourne Excursion was the trip to Sovereign Hill, Ballarat. We were very lucky to see the M.C.G. and the magnificent Melbourne Zoo. The Eureka Sky Deck was breathtaking and the Chinese Museum was amazing. This excursion was the best excursion I have had in my life. Lewis

The Melbourne Excursion was an awesome time. We went to Sovereign Hill, the Melbourne Zoo, MCG and The Eureka Sky Deck just to name a few. We had a great time learning new things and was open to any new experiences. I think everyone enjoyed themselves on the unforgettable Year 6 camp. Ebony

The Melbourne Camp was fantastic! It was fun, interactive and very educational. The hostel was comfy and nice, the food was tasty and we did so may things that I have got so much to say but I think my two favourite places were the Eureka Sky Deck because you got to stand nearly 300 meters in the air and look down, and Sovereign Hill because it was so real. There were actors and realistic buildings everywhere everything looked like it was from the 1850s, even the clothes! And the lollies! Oh the lollies were so good! With boiled sweets and chocolate everywhere, one of the best things there was that you actually got to pan for gold - I found one flake! I can't wait until the next Excursion. Isaac

The excitement and a hint of nervousness was definitely in the air on the 26th of August as we queued for our boarding passes at Coolangatta Airport. Year 6's Melbourne Trip was definitely something we won't be forgetting in a hurry. After our trips to the MCG, Sports Museum, Zoo, Melbourne Museum and of course our incredible day trip to Sovereign Hill (just to name a few) something super would have to happen to top it. We have had the times of our lives in Melbourne and experienced something that will be in our hearts for a long time to come. Grace

Melbourne was a amazing excursion for Year 6. We did so much stuff like museums, the MCG, Sovereign Hill and sport simulators just to name a few. We had a talent quest, and I think everyone enjoyed it. We learnt a lot about gold. Overall I liked Sovereign Hill the most.
